The Meaning of Life
This is a question that escapes many of us.
People will often say this as a joke for when someone is taking to long doing something. People sought over the centuries to find the answer his question through many different religions. There were the Roman and Greek gods Buddha, Mohammad (Islam), and Christian which is the oldest.
There were Hindu and the other eastern religions as well.I am a 70 year old man and lived quit a wild life and not paying a lick of attention to this question of life. In fact I thought I was invincible. Through all the turmoil I was in, the question stayed with me on the back burner. Eventually I started a quest to figure out what my purpose was in life was. I started studying all the religions one after the other. I was quite interested in the Hindu religions for quite awhile in an effort to prove my mother wrong as she was a Christian
Now here is the sum of what I believe is the meaning of life. Ponder this we are all born with a time limit of about 80 to 120 years to life. During this time we must teach our Souls, (Spirits) to live a richious life in a way pleasing to God the Creator of all things. Of course you must believe in God in the first place and can't be an atheist.
Why I am NOT an atheist. All it takes to believe in God is just to sit down on the
grass in a park and look around you.
Look down at the ground and notice all the life scurrying around. The little bugs, ants, rolly polly bugs with their little armored bodies. Notice the little ant with the 6 legs. They need 6 legs to be able to climb on things and look for food. They all have a purpose to gather food for the queen ant and all the offspring that will be the next generation. Consider just how many different types of insects there are. Thousands I bet and all with a purpose. All perfectly made and designed. Consider dirt,, all the different types of minerals, WHY. Clouds which makes rain so that all the vegetation on earth can survive. Consider the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. The beauty of the Himalayas.
The Bible says God has made his presence known by all the creation that is.
Consider atoms, and molecules that all things are made with. Where did they come from? The Bible also says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Which means agreeing God exists in the first place.
So What About Man
Man is the masterpiece of God's creation. Everything in it was made perfect and self sustaining. The only reason it does not last is due to man abusing his body with bad things. Lets use the automobile as an example. The automobile is the physical body. Just like the automobile needs a driver to tell it what to do and where to go. Our physical body needs a driver as well. Lets call him our Spirit. Without a driver, the automobile is just a lifeless hunk of metal and does nothing but rust. So our physical body needs a driver as well or its just a mass of meaningless flesh that rots.
An automobile needs to be taken care of and maintained. We change the oil, grease the bearings, fill the gas tank.
The human body its the same thing. We must take care of it or it will fail. So the bottom line is that we have a physical and a spiritual body. The spiritual is the more important one. When the physical body wears out and dies, the spiritual goes on.
So what condition is your spirit in?
If you think about it, the condition of spirits is why
we have so many problems in this world. The crime is due to people that have let their spirit
turn to evil things and tell their bodies to do bad things.So really, the physical body is not the most important. It doesn't matter if the skin color is white, black, brown, or yellow. Racism is just plain EVIL. The body is just a vehicle. We should judge the soul instead. Is it a good one or a bad one. When we die and give up the spirit from the body, we will go back to meet God.
I want to make sure I have done everything I could do to live a Godly lifestyle. For instance
visit the sick, feed the poor, Help those in need. Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.
I would not want to answer for bad things like destroying life in the womb, or other heinous
things.
If you think about it, all evil is caused by the spirit trying to satisfy the flesh, be it
food, sex, money. God's word says the love of money is the root of all evil. He did not say
money was the problem but the love of it was.
Think about this, since God created all things with atoms. It would make sense that he has
the power to change them at will and in an instant if he wants. That would explain why
Jesus his Son was able to heal people in an instant.
It also means that I can have faith that he has the power to heal my cancer if I ask him to,and have faith that it can be done.
So what about God, What's his plan for us?
In my travels through life and studying the different religions I forced my self to sit down and read the entire Bible. I thought I might find something in there that I could use to prove my mom wrong. The opposite happened. I realized no man could write something so complex and yet all of it comes together so well. I challenge you to do the same as we don't have much time left. What helped me the most was to listen to the Audio version of the Bible as it made me feel like I was there in real time and could understand it way better.

So What's Gods Ultimate Plan for Us ?
We spoke earlier about there being a physical world and a spiritual world. In the spiritual world there are angels and demons. The demons are actually fallen angels. These spirits are not like our spirits as they were never born. They were just created by God before he created the world. Therefore they already know the difference between good and evil. Satan used to be one of thetop angels in Gods ranks. He was a archangel before pride took hold of him and he rebelled against God. He deceived 1/3 of the other angels in heaven to follow him in his rebellion. The whole lot of them were kicked out of heaven because of this. I believe God created us and our spirits to ultimately replace the demon spirits he kicked out. I believe God did this to cleanse the heavens of all evil and wickedness. He will ultimately do the same to this physical world. The angels and demon spirits are not like our spirits. They have the ability to travel in and out of our world as the please.
This is why the Bible warns us to be careful as we never know if we are entertaining angels. They can look just like us. The Bible says that Satan can make himself look like an angel of light.
Have you ever heard of guardian angels? I have met one of mine before. It was on this wise. My wife and I were driving down a dirt road late at night and I had been drinking. We came to a corner and I was going a little too fast. The right front wheel got caught in the soft shoulder and pulled us off the road. The car rolled and we were upside down. My wife was crying and terrified. We crawled out the side window and were not hurt thank God. This all happened around 11 pm in a very remote part of the mountain road. Some of the corners had a thousand foot drop off. We were glad it was not one of those corners. We walked down the road to look for help and found a camper with people sleeping in it. As we woke them up we heard a shout from the road and they asked if that was our car of the road. I said yes and they told me to come up to them. When we got there, three guys had already lifted the car back on it's wheels and here busy replacing the flat tire i had. They got us in the car and gave me directions to get back to the city. I tell you, I was never so scared in my life. This is when I quit drinking and driving. These Guys HAD to be angels as how can they lift a heavy car back on it's wheels like that. I firmly believe the these angels are making sure I stay on the straight and narrow until my time is up in this world. WHAT ABOUT YOU ? What do you think the meaning of life is? So what does God want from us?.
For us to love love God with all our heart and our neighbor as ourselves. See Luke 10:25-29
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
He said to him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and love thy neighbor as thyself.
And he said to him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
So How are we saved from the end of this world?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
It's very clear
john 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
What we need to do?
We need to turn our lives over to Jesus Christ and ask him to guide us forward.
We must Pray this Prayer?
Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the son of God and I pray that you will forgive me for all the bad things I have done in my life.
I choose to repent of these bad things going forward and I ask you to please come into my life and guide me. I truly want to be on your side going forward. Please help me. In your name Jesus I pray.
